 Refinance
A majority of the time when a homeowner calls to get the ball rolling their Mortgage Company will try and see if they can be refinanced. In the past this usually was a good option however as of late it is rarely an option because of declining values and lender guideline changes. Most of the time if you are finding yourself in a hardship position then you have already been told by several other lenders that they cannot refinance you at that given time and that is part of your hardship. But it is usually a starting point for Mortgage Companies.
